Welcome to a do and die match for CSK and an equally important one for Hyderabad to stay afloat in the tournament.
CSK has won the toss and decides to bat first. This will be the first instance of this season where Chennai is out to set a target. Chennai has one change. Chawla is back into the squad replacing Jagadeesan. Nadeem has replaced Abhishek Sharma in the Hyderabad camp.
To the surprise. Sam Curran opens the inning with du Plessis. Sandeep gives only three runs in the first over. He also removed du Plessis for a golden duck in his second over. Curran scored 22 runs in the fourth over. He has started to display the intent behind his promotion. But Sandeep strikes again in the next over and removes Curran. Powerplay score for CSK was 69/2.
Rayudu & Watson steadied the ship in the middle over. Khaleel over removed Rayudu in the sixteenth over. Chennai’s score at the end of sixteenth over was 119/3.
Natarajan removed Watson in the next over but Chennai still managed ten runs in this over. Sandeep gave only 9 runs in the eighteenth over. But Chennai still scored 29 runs in the last two over to finish with a score of 167/6.
Chahar opens the attack for CSK and Warner takes the strike. Sam Curran removed Warner in the third over. It was an unfortunate dismissal for Warner. Caught and bowled. In the same over Pandey got run out. Double blow for SRH and they could score only 40/2 in the powerplay.
Bairstow and Williamson tried to calm the nerve but Jadeja removed Bairstow in the tenth over. Now, Williamson is left with no option else to strike hard. In the meanwhile, Karn Sharma removed Garg in the fifteenth over. SRH’s score at the end of sixteenth over was 109/4.

Jadeja was awarded Man of the Match. It was his runs in the last two overs which proved too much for SRH.
