This match was a skill show, by team Delhi capitals.
Prithivi Shaw and Dhawan started on a good note, they were playing the shots as required.
They were hitting run smoothly and did not make it look like a tough.
Top 3 Batsman:
1. Prithvi Shaw: Scored 64 runs in 43 balls with 1 six and 9 fours.
2. S Dhawan: Scored 35 runs in 27 balls with 1 six and 3 fours.
3. R Pant: Scored 37 runs in 25 balls with 5 fours.
The best part about Delhi capitals batting order was each and every batsman played his part.
Every batsman was hitting runs like butter.
Ravindra Jadeja was the most expensive bowler from CSK side, and Piyush Chawla took 2 wickets and helped CSK stop DC from scoring 200 runs.
In comes CSK to bat.
This season, CSK is badly missing Suresh Raina.
His absence is quite evident and is showing on their middle order performance as well.
CSK is also missing, Ambati Rayadu in the middle order.
Rayadu is injured and is recovering post 1st match.
Going ahead, what looks promising for CSK is the form of Duplessis.
He is in his best form, luckily at the beginning of the game.
I am also wondering, why CSK is not choosing to bat first.
Why are they not asking the rivals to chase?
CSK has won last 2 tosses and asked the opponent to bat first, choosing to chase.
I wonder, why?
Why would CSK do this?
Why aren’t they taking the chance with their bowlers to save the runs?
Knowing that they have a weak batting line up, in the absence of S Raina and A Rayadu.
It would be great if they would test the strength of their batting line up and score some good runs which could save them a match.
From Delhi Capitals side Rabada was the best bowler, with a figure of 3 wickets in 4 overs.
That’s all for this match.
See you with the coverage of the next match.
