IPL 2020 | Sunrisers Hyderabad won its 1st Match.

IPL - Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad, lost its two and Warner comes into toss with a pressure to win a match, whereas Delhi has won its first two matches.

And Delhi wins the toss and decides to field first.

Delhi had one change in Ishant replacing Avesh Khan and SRH had two changes, with Kane Williamson getting his first match of IPL 2020 by replacing Nabi and Samad replaces Saha.

Warner and Bairstow opening the inning and with Williamson in the team, it was expected that openers will go all out against Delhi’s bowling but they scored just 38 runs in the powerplay with no loss of wicket.

They engaged the fielding team with frequent strike rotation and hitting over the boundary line in between.

In the ninth over Delhi reviewed the caught behind appeal against Warner and snicko showed the ball hitting the

gloves of warner in his attempt of reverse sweep and then Mishra removed Pandey in his next over.

This brought KW onto the crease and SRH camp must be looking up to him for a respectable total.

Bairstow scored a usual himself like a half-century and departed for 53 runs off 48 balls whereas on the other side KW was in his Midas touch scoring 41 runs in 26 balls before getting out in the 20th over.

At the end of SRH innings score read as 162/4 and Hyderabad should not be disappointed with this score but they could have certainly scored more in the last three overs which yielded only 22 runs.

Shaw and Dhawan walking into the crease with Bhuvi holding the new ball of the inning and Shaw nicks behind off the fifth ball of the first over.

This is the only third time since IPL 2019 that Bhuvi took a wicket in his first over.

Followed by some tight bowling from Khaleel, Natarajan and Bhuvi, Delhi Capitals scored only 34/1 in the powerplay.

Rashid Khan gets the first over after powerplay and he did not disappoint either by removing Samad and by sending Dhawan in 12th over.

Pant and Hetmyer scored some quick boundaries but it did not take much effort off Bhuvi to send off Hetmyer in 16th over and then Rashid removed Pant in 17th over.

44 runs needed off 18 balls and Delhi capitals still had Stoinis on the crease to pull off this chase but Natarajan who caught Stoinis plumb in front of middle.

With this wicket and SRH were just formally away from winning the match.

28 needed in the last over and Pandey drops Rabada off Khaleel.

No threat to SRH but we never know what can happen in T20 game but then Khaleel bowls Axar Patel and sealed the game.

Though Rabada scored a six off the last ball which did not bother SRH as they had won this match by 15 runs.

Rashid Khan was Man of the match for his magical spell in which he gave away just 14 runs and took three crucial wickets of Dhawan, Iyer and Pant.
