Rajasthan Royals suffered its first loss in three matches and was found struggling against the young Indian pacers spearheaded by Cummins.
Rajasthan Royals having won the toss and decided to field first expecting dew to play some role in the second innings by overlooking the fact that last matches in Dubai has been won by the team batting first.
Jofra opened the bowling attack and first over was loaded with the jaw-dropping pace and bounce.
Gill was composed as usual but Narine seemed to be in hurry and was swinging and missing balls when Uthappa dropped his catch off Unadkat.
Fourth over saw boundaries from each Narine and Gill.
Undakat came back for the fifth over and Narine hit him for consecutive six and four before a slower one from Unadkat removed his bells.
Rana and Gill were rotating the strike and also hitting at least one ball over the fence.
It was in the tenth over where Rahul Teeatia removed the in-form Rana who failed to build on a good start yet again.
At the end of the tenth over the score for KKR read as 82/2.
Karthik promoted Russell and Jofra returned for his second over of the match in which he gave just one run and removed well-settled Gill for 47 run off 34 balls and then his next three balls to Russell clocked almost 149kph keeping the big giant under control.
Russell opened his arms in next over by hitting consecutive sixes off Shreyas Gopal.
Jofra returns for his third over in which he removed out of form Karthik in his first ball.
Karthik scored one run in three balls and Jofra’s third over of the night yielded two runs.
Rajpoot bowls 15th over where he was welcomed with a six by Russell and in the next ball Undakat caught him as Russell’s muscles failed to clear the long boundary this time.
Score at the end of 15th over 120/5.
Big question was can KKR score at least 160 to give some chances to its bowlers to defend the innings and they still had chances with Morgan on the crease.
Morgan together with Cummins kept the scoreboard ticking and they scored 14 runs of Jofra’s last over otherwise it would have one of the memorable outings for Jofra and his final figure for the night was 4-0-18-2.
Tom Curran removed Cummins in the 18th over and the chances of big score looked bleak and then Rajpoot bowled a decent 19th over giving away only 9 runs and score is 158/6.
Curran’s last over was eventful as he gave away 16 runs where he conceded three wides as well.
This shaky over gave a respectable total to KKR and Rajasthan Royals needs 175 to win this match.
Just look at the smiling SRK.

Narine opens the bowling for KKR and RR scores 12 runs where Butler scored a 6 to show his clear intent of chasing it high and loud.
But.. Cummins had a similar plan to see his team victorious which was clear when he removed his fellow teammate, Steve Smith who was throwing his bat-like Narine before nicking out to Karthik.
Shivam Mavi bowls a decent over and Butler scores a six in the next over off Cummins.
And.. Mavi returns for the fifth over to remove in-form Samson of the first ball…
Maybe Samson was still in the hangover of smaller Sharjah ground and was caught comfortably at mid-wicket by Narine.
Cummins bowls the last over of powerplay where RR scores 39 runs for the loss of two wickets in first 6 overs.

Chase was still on but Mavi removed Butler who was on the verge of exploding.
Nagarkoti takes his first IPL wicket in the form of Robin Uthappa who has lacklustre season this year and he removes Riyan Parag in the same over.
By the end of 8th over, score read as 43 and half of RR team was back in the dugout.
Rahul Twetia failed to try another KXIP like innings and was bowled by Chakravarthy in the 11th over.
Then until 18th over RR was controlled by KKR bowling line up.
In the 19th over Tom Curran hit three sixes but it was late and KKR were unimpacted with these blows.
48 runs required in the last over and KKR wins this match with 37 runs.
Shivam Mavi was awarded Man of the Match for his beautiful spell of fours over in which he conceded just 20 runs and took two wickets.
